During the latest weekend episode, Sethupathi indicated that the early, relatively relaxed phase of the season was over. He reminded the housemates that they would now have to step up their involvement and show more commitment to the competition.

The host also addressed the issue of criticism, stressing that contestants need to learn how to receive criticism and respond to it appropriately as part of their journey on the reality show.

Jason reportedly explained that he repeated the behaviour because he had previously faced something similar. Sethupathi then raised the question of whether the response was motivated by revenge.
