The actor, who is collaborating with Puri for the first time in the upcoming film ‘Slumdog: 33 Temple Road’, described the director as a “fearless voice” built on courage and conviction.
Sethupathi noted that the experience of working on the film has been “special,” as Puri effortlessly pushes actors beyond their comfort zones.
The film, which also stars Tabu, Samyuktha, and Duniya Vijay, is being crafted as a unique, meaningful narrative that deviates from the standard commercial formula.
‘Slumdog: 33 Temple Road’ is expected to hit theaters in June 2026 and will be released in five languages across India.
