A day after it was revealed that Vijay’s father S A Chandrasekhar registered a political party called All-India Thalapathy Vijay Makkal Iyakkam with the Election Commission, the actor’s mother Shoba Chandrasekhar, who was its treasurer, walked out of it and made startling revelations.
Shoba said that she had signed a document as SAC said that it was for forming an association. Speaking to the media, Shoba, who is a singer, said that her husband approached her for the signature a month ago and she obliged as it was for forming an association.
According to Shoba, a week ago; she came to know that Chandrasekhar was planning to register it as a political party and hence she said she did not want to be part of anything without the knowledge of Vijay.
“After knowing that he has applied for registration, I expressed my unwillingness to be part of the party and hold the post of the treasurer, and he has agreed for the same, too,” she said.
Elaborating, Shoba said Vijay has been asking SAC to maintain silence on topics related to his political entry. However, Chandrasekhar has been going ahead with media interactions and registering a political party.
“Hence, Vijay has stopped talking to his dad,” she added. When asked whether Vijay will make a political entry in the future, she said that only Vijay could answer this question.
