Actress Trisha has her kitty full with several movies including Garjanai, Sadhuranga Vettai-2, Paramapadha Vilayatu, Raangi and 1818. Apart from this she is also part of Mani Ratnam’s magnum opus ‘Ponniyin Selvan’.
The latest update is that Trisha will be playing the lead role in the remake of Bollywood flick ‘Piku’.
Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachchan and Irfan Khan played the lead roles in ‘Piku’. It is said that a leading director will helm the flick. The official announcement about the project is expected soon.
‘Piku’ is a 2015 comedy-drama film directed by Shoojit Sircar and produced by N P Singh, Ronnie Lahiri and Sneha Rajani. It stars Deepika Padukone as the titular protagonist, Amitabh Bachchan and Irrfan Khan, with Moushumi Chatterjee and Jisshu Sengupta portraying supporting roles.
The story and screenplay was written by Juhi Chaturvedi. Principal photography began in August 2014 and was wrapped up in December. Anupam Roy composed the soundtrack and score, and wrote the lyrics.
