Tanya Hope, who made her Kollywood debut with Arun Vijay’s ‘Thadam’, and was later seen in Harish Kalyan’s ‘Dharala Prabhu’, has been roped in to play the female lead in Vemal’s next, which is being directed by Saravana Sakthi.
The film, which is said to be a crime thriller, has story, screenplay and dialogues written by Vijay Sethupathi.
Speaking about her role Tanya says, “I play a medical student in this thriller. My character comes across as a stern, no-nonsense woman. It is quite a serious role, and my character travels with the hero throughout the film. I really liked the story, and the script is amazing. Scripts have always been important to me, which is why I signed this project.”
The shoot has already begun, and Tanya will be joining the shoot early next month. “We are shooting the whole of February in Chennai and Madurai, and I’ll join them in the first week,” she said.
