Actors Kamal Haasan and Silambarasan will be sharing the screen space for the first time in the upcoming film ‘Thug Life’ directed by Maniratnam and slated to be released on 5 June.
However, Kamal Haasan was supposed to produce Silambarasan’s big budget film with director Desingh Periyasamy.
But, the film was dropped, and subsequently, the production was taken over by Silambarasan himself who will produce his film. It is now titled ‘STR 50’.
Speaking about this, Kamal Haasan said, “We wanted Silambarasan in Thug Life, and we had to sacrifice that film. It is a good story and he is going on with it.”
Silambarasan also confirmed that in STR 50, he will have a feminine characteristic for his role. “I had also sought the advice of Kamal sir regarding this. When an actor gets a new thing to perform, it is exciting.”
