Ravi Mohan has shared an interesting memory from the early stages of his career involving actor Suriya and revealed how a few words of encouragement from him have stayed with him over the years.
Ravi said he had known Suriya well before entering some of the later stages of his own career. Although the two actors have never appeared together in a film, Ravi worked with Suriya’s brother Karthi in Mani Ratnam’s ‘Ponniyin Selvan’ films.
Recalling his early days of stunt training, Ravi said Suriya was also learning various action techniques around the same period. On one occasion, Ravi told Suriya that he was practising a backflip and asked him to watch.
However, the attempt went wrong. Ravi said the stunt professionals present at the location immediately stepped in and helped him avoid a serious injury.
According to Ravi, Suriya then helped him steady himself and later encouraged him not to be upset about the failed attempt. Instead, he advised Ravi to try again, learn from the mistake and keep moving forward.
Ravi said that advice became an important lesson for him and has remained in his mind throughout his journey in the film industry. He also spoke about the importance of maintaining a positive mindset and learning to overcome setbacks.
Meanwhile, Ravi Mohan expressed his happiness over the announcement of a new collaboration between his brother, filmmaker Mohan Raja, and actor Karthi. He said his brother had been speaking enthusiastically about the project and that he was looking forward to seeing the film take shape.
