The makers of ‘Dorothy’ have unveiled the official trailer, offering a closer look at the dark and violent world surrounding its central character, played by Keerthy Suresh.
Written and directed by Karthik Subbaraj, the film had its premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival and is scheduled to reach cinemas on September 25.
Keerthy plays Dorothy, who finds herself caught in a troubled environment alongside her friends Karthi, portrayed by Rishikanth, and Subbu, played by Sananth. Both characters are linked to criminal activities, and the trailer hints at how a conflict involving the trio begins to affect not only them but also those around them.
The film also features Ramachandran Durairaj, Muthukumar, Gajaraj and Jeeva Subramanian in key roles.
‘Dorothy’ has music by Ilaiyaraaja, marking his 1540th film score. S Thirunavukkarrasu is the cinematographer, while Ganesh Siva takes care of editing. Kumar Gangappan is the production designer and Dinesh Subbarayan has choreographed the action.
Karthik Subbaraj is producing the film through Dhammam Films, alongside Guneet Monga and Aachin Jain of Sikhya Entertainment and Jyoti Deshpande of Jio Studios.
