Actor Dhanush is set to dominate the summer box office with his upcoming thriller ‘Kara’.
Producer Ishari K. Ganesh of Vels Film International officially announced during the VELS Nakshatra 2026 festival that the film will hit screens worldwide on April 30, 2026.
Directed by Vignesh Raja (of Por Thozhil fame), the film is an emotionally rooted suspense thriller set against a 1990s backdrop.
Dhanush plays a rugged character named Karasaami, and the tagline “Sometimes, staying dangerous is the only way to stay alive” has already sparked intense curiosity.
The movie features a powerhouse cast including Mamitha Baiju, Jayaram, and Sreeja Ravi, with music by G.V. Prakash Kumar.
As the post-production work nears completion, ‘Kara’ is being positioned as one of the most anticipated Tamil releases of the year, following the director’s track record for gripping investigative dramas.
