Bhagyashri Borse has shared the emotional challenges she faced before entering the film industry, saying her decision to become an actor was initially opposed by her entire family.

Speaking during an interaction with college students, the ‘Lenin’ actor recalled that her parents and sister were all against her pursuing a career in cinema. She said their objections were rooted in concern, as they feared the uncertainties and risks associated with the profession.

Bhagyashri revealed that the most painful phase came when her mother stopped speaking to her for six months and even blocked her on WhatsApp. Although she now speaks about the experience with a smile, she admitted it was emotionally difficult at the time. Even so, she remained confident that one day her parents would be proud of the path she had chosen.

She said her biggest motivation was to succeed through hard work so that people would recognize her achievements and her parents could take pride in them. According to the actor, she never wanted to look back on life wondering what might have happened had she not followed her dreams.

Bhagyashri also stressed the importance of financial independence, especially for women. Recalling a childhood incident in which she could not buy a pair of slippers she wanted, she said the experience taught her the value of earning and managing her own money. She encouraged women to have financial security, including owning a home and maintaining a bank account in their own name.

The actor added that one of the most meaningful moments of her career was using her first major earnings to buy gifts for her parents, saying their happiness has always been her greatest source of satisfaction.
