Legendary Telugu actor Kaikala Satyanarayana passed away in the wee hours of December 23 at his residence in Hyderabad.
Aged 87, the actor was battling several health issues for the past few months. Soon after the news of Satyanarayana’s demise broke, fans took to social media to remember him.
Reportedly, his final rites will take place at Mahaprasthanam tomorrow, December 24.
Kaikala Satyanarayana was born on July 25, 1935, in Kavutaram village in Krishna district. Producer DL Narayana noticed him and offered him a role in Sipayi Koothuru in 1959.
He married Nageswaramma in 1960 and they are parents to two daughters and two sons.
He also turned producer and churned out films, including Kodama Simham, Bangaru Kutumbam, Muddula Mogudu. He went on to act in over 750 films. Apart from films, he also enjoyed a stint in politics.
Kaikala Satyanarayana won several awards in his career.
Satyanarayana’s passing away comes across as a huge shock to the Telugu film industry. Fans and celebrities have been taking to social media to pay tribute to him.
