The first collaboration between actor Venkatesh and director Trivikram Srinivas, ‘Adarsha Kutumbam – House No. 47’, has registered a respectable opening at the box office, although the numbers fall short of some of the actor’s previous successes.
The family entertainer, produced by Suryadevara Radhakrishna under Haarika & Hassine Creations, features Srinidhi Shetty as the female lead. Thaman S has composed the music.
According to Sacnilk, the film collected approximately ₹19 crore in worldwide gross revenue on its opening day. The reported figures include ₹11.40 crore gross from India, with the domestic net collection estimated at ₹9.75 crore. Overseas markets contributed around ₹7.60 crore.
The film recorded screenings across 3,073 shows, with an estimated occupancy of 44 per cent. While the opening is considered decent, it is lower than Venkatesh’s previous blockbuster ‘Sankranthiki Vasthunnam’, which earned around ₹23 crore worldwide on its first day.
The film also marks an important collaboration for Trivikram Srinivas, known for his distinctive dialogue writing, memorable one-liners and family-oriented storytelling.
Venkatesh and Srinidhi Shetty portray Chittibabu and Swarna, a married couple raising their children Sarwa and Sampoorna, played by Prajwal and Yuvina Parthavi.
The story follows Chittibabu, a bank employee struggling to manage his family’s financial difficulties. Matters worsen when Swarna loses money in a chit fund, their son requires medical treatment and Chittibabu loses his job. Their circumstances take an unexpected turn when Chittibabu wins a lottery worth ₹100 crore.
The film also features Nivetha Pethuraj, Nara Rohith, Sachin Khedekar, Rao Ramesh and Brahmaji in important roles.
