Popular music composer and actor G.V. Prakash Kumar and playback singer Saindhavi are set to receive the final judgment in their mutual divorce case. The Chennai Family Welfare Court has fixed the verdict date for September 30.
The couple, who were childhood sweethearts and married for 11 years, had announced their amicable separation last year, stating they were parting ways for their “mental peace and betterment” while preserving their mutual respect.
The duo recently appeared in person before the court, where they reiterated their firm decision to separate. G.V. Prakash also formally submitted his ‘no-objection’ on matters concerning their 5-year-old daughter.
Despite their separation, the musical duo continues to collaborate professionally and has shown great mutual respect, a move that has been appreciated by fans.
