Vishal expressed gratitude to a handful of people, including director Mysskin, while announcing ‘Thupparivaalan 2’.
He revealed that the film will mark his debut as a director, bringing his long-nurtured desire to fruition.

Now the actor has announced that he has completed long recce in London and Azerbaijan.
Vishal also said that he will soon commence the promotional works for his upcoming film ‘Rathnam’.
‘Thupparivaalan 2’ is a sequel to the 2017 detective thriller ‘Thupparivaalan’, which is touted as an ode to Arthur Conan Doyle’s ‘Sherlock Holmes’.
Originally envisioned and directed by Mysskin, the film gave Vishal a much-needed break in his career upon its release, emerging as both a critical and commercial hit.
However, Vishal and Mysskin had a terrible fallout during their collaboration on ‘Thupparivaalan 2’. The production was halted midway, with both parties publicly lashing out at each other.
