After Vishal praised actress Kangana Ranaut for her fight against Maharashtra government and compared her with freedom fighter Bhagath Singh, there were reports in a few sections of the meida that he would join the BJP.
However, both the actor and his manager Harikrishnan have said Vishal is not having any plan to enter politics.
Pointing out to media reports, Harikrishnan tweeted,”புரட்சி தளபதி @VishalKOfficial அவர்கள் #பாஜகவில் இணைய உள்ளதாக வெளியான தகவல் வதந்தி உண்மை இல்லை….”
In his post hailing Kangana, Vishal said, “Dear Kangana, Hats off to your guts, you have never thought twice to voice out what is right & what is wrong. It wasn’t your personal issue, but even then facing the wrath of the government, you stayed strong which makes it a very big example,” he wrote.
Vishal added: “It’s something similar to what Bhagat Singh did in the 1920s. This will set an example for people to speak against the government when something is not right and not necessarily being a celebrity but also as a common man.”
He said the above after the actress’ office was partially demolished by officials of the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC).
