Vijay floats his political party ‘Tamilaga Vetri Kalagam’

His fan club, Vijay Makkal Iyakkam, has been active in political programmes and contested in Tamil Nadu local body elections as well.

The actor even visited the southern districts of Tamil Nadu battered by floods in December to provide reliefs material to the affected people.

In a statement released today, the actor said that he has applied for registering the party which will contest in the Assembly polls in 2026.

The actor-politician said that his party will not contest in the upcoming Lok Sabha polls and will not extend its support to any party.

Vijay also hinted that he might quit acting to involve in full-fledged politics.

Vijay will be next seen in ‘The GOAT’ (Greatest Of All Time), which is being directed by Venkat Prabhu.
