With the ongoing lockdown to control the spread of Covid-19 halting the progress of many films, the release of superstar Rajinikanth’s ‘Annaatthe’, which was earlier slated for this year, has been pushed to 2021.
Along with a motion poster of the film, its producer Sun Pictures wrote: “#AnnaatthePongal2021#அண்ணாத்
Nayanthara, Keerthy Suresh, Khushbu, Prakash Raj, Meena, Soori, Satish and others play key roles in ‘Annaatthe’, directed by Siva. The movie has musical score by D Imman.
Cinematography for the film is by Vetri Palanisamy. The editor is Ruben and the art director is Milan. There is a buzz that Rajinikanth is playing a dual role in this flick and it will be set in the backdrop of both village and city.
Besides ‘Annaatthe’, Rajinikanth is expected to do one more film, to be produced by Kamal Haasan and directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj of Vijay’s ‘Master’ fame. This is expected to be the last film of the ‘thalaivar’, before his political foray.
