In a major legal victory for Vijay and KVN Productions, the Madras High Court has granted a comprehensive “John Doe” injunction against over 4,500 pirate websites.

The court has ordered all leading Internet Service Providers (ISPs) to immediately block access to links featuring the leaked footage of ‘Jana Nayagan’.

This ruling comes just as the film received its long-awaited censor clearance, clearing the path for its global theatrical release on April 30, 2026.

The production house has expressed its gratitude to the judiciary, stating that this protection is vital for the survival of the theatrical experience following the devastating five-minute clip leak last week.

Industry experts believe this swift legal intervention will help reclaim the film’s commercial prospects and boost distributor confidence ahead of the massive summer opening.
