Delivering an important message

Pen Vilai Verum 999 Rubai Mattume

– Review

A gang uses hidden cameras to videograph women during their private time and blackmail them. Many women commit suicide due to the threat of this gang.
How does the female lead Swetha Paandi get caught in this gang? What does hero Rajkamal do to save Swetha Paandi.
How does the Tamilnadu police track this gang forms the rest of the story.
Directed by Varadaraj, the movie delivers an important message about the safety of women.
The first half is interesting and keeps the audience on the edge of their seat. However, the story deviates from the core theme during the second half.
Rajkamal fits the character well and has delivered what the role demanded from him. Rajkamal has ensured that he does not go overboard anywhere.
Swetha Pandi gets an all important role and has understood the emotions of the character.
Rest of the cast have also performed well. Background score by Vivek Chakravarthy is passable.
Songs by Judha Sandy is okay. Cinematography by Satish Kumar and Karva Mohan is good. Editing by Saravanan GN could have been crispier.

Rating : 3.5/5
