Sivakarthikeyan’s landmark 25th film, ‘Parasakthi’ , has set the trade circles abuzz by securing a massive pre-release deal.
The digital streaming rights for the film have been sold to ZEE5 for a staggering Rs 52 crore, marking the highest-ever OTT business for a Sivakarthikeyan starrer.
Directed by Sudha Kongara, the film is a period political drama set against the backdrop of the 1965 anti-Hindi protests in Tamil Nadu.
The record-breaking deal, combined with the sale of satellite rights to Kalaignar TV, ensures that the project is already in a highly profitable zone before its Pongal 2026 release.
Sivakarthikeyan will be seen portraying a revolutionary student leader, a role that is expected to be a significant departure from his usual “boy-next-door” characters.
