GV Prakash Kumar’s upcoming film ‘Ninja’ has completed its first shooting schedule. The team shared the update on Monday as part of its Ganesh Chathurthi celebrations.

Directed by Murugu, the project underwent a change in its lead cast before filming began. The film was originally announced with actor Bhaarath as the protagonist, while GV Prakash Kumar was attached as the music composer. He later stepped into the lead role, with composer Sean Roldan taking charge of the film’s music.

Prathana Nathan, who was previously announced as the female lead, remains part of the cast. The project began production in August following a traditional pooja ceremony.

Produced by KS Sinish and S Sai Devanand under Soldiers Factory and Learn and Teach Productions, the film has S Sai Venkateshwaran as co-producer.

‘Ninja’ also brings GV Prakash and Prathana together again after their earlier association in ‘Happy Raj’, in which she appeared in a brief role connected to his character. Prathana has subsequently appeared in films such as ‘Love Today’, ‘Parking’ and ‘Thalaivar Thambi Thalaimaiyil’.

The makers have not revealed much about the storyline or genre yet. However, a dog has featured prominently in the promotional material released so far, leading to curiosity about the animal’s role in the narrative.

Jenson Diwakar, Radha Ravi, Dheepa Ramanujam, Kalyani Natarajan and Devadarshini are also part of the ensemble.

The technical department includes cinematographer Harish Kannan, editor Ganesh Siva and art director A Gopi Anand. With the initial schedule now wrapped, more information about the film is expected in the coming days.
