Suriya and Karthik Subbaraj’s ‘Retro’ is set to hit the big screens on May 1st. The audio launch event was held in Chennai recently.
Following this, the team has been carrying out various promotional events.
In a recent interview Karthik Subbaraj spoke about the failure of ‘Game Changer’ which was directed by Shankar.
The story of ‘Game Changer’ was originally written by Karthik Subbaraj and it was adapted by Shankar.
Karthik Subbaraj said, “I initially pitched a story about a common IAS officer to director Shankar. But the theme was completely changed during development. Multiple writers were involved, and the plot and screenplay took a totally different shape.”
‘Game Changer’ has Ram Charan playing an IAS officer and Kiara Advani as the female lead. Music for the movie is by SS Thaman.
