Kannada actor Puneeth Rajkumar passed away today due to heart attack.
The actor was rushed to the hospital after he complained of chest pain. However, he did not respond to the treatments given by the doctors.
Karnataka Chief Minister Bommai visited the hospital. Puneeth is fondly called as Appu by his fans after his debut movie as hero ‘Appu’ which released in 2002.
Puneeth, the youngest son of Kannada matinee idol, Dr Rajkumar was last seen in the movie ‘Yuvarathnaa’ which was a massive hit. The movie released in several languages.
Meanwhile, security around Puneeth Rajkumar’s house has been beefed up following his death, while there is heavy bandobast around Vikram hospital too where he was treated.
Puneeth has acted in over 29 Kannada films.
