The producers of Chief Minister Vijay-starrer ‘Jana Nayagan’ have clarified that the film has not yet received certification from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC), dismissing reports claiming it had already been cleared with an ‘A’ certificate.

The clarification comes after a document widely circulated on social media was presented as the film’s censor certificate. The production house stated that the image is not genuine and urged fans not to rely on unofficial information.

According to the makers, the CBFC has completed its review of the film and communicated a final list of modifications. The team is currently implementing those suggested changes before submitting the revised version for certification.

The producers expressed confidence that the process is nearing completion and said they expect the official certificate once the required revisions are approved.

Despite the pending certification, preparations for the theatrical release are reportedly progressing. Theatre owners across Tamil Nadu are said to be making preliminary arrangements, anticipating that the film will soon receive clearance.

While the makers have not announced a release date, industry buzz suggests ‘Jana Nayagan’ directed by H. Vinoth could arrive in cinemas either in the final week of July or the opening week of August. An official release announcement is expected after the CBFC grants its approval.
