Fans of Dulquer Salmaan are in for a special treat. The much-anticipated teaser for his upcoming period drama, ‘Kaantha’, is all set to be unveiled today, July 28 at 3 PM, coinciding with the actor’s 42nd birthday.
Dulquer Salmaan himself made the exciting announcement via social media, stating, “The road to release begins with the first tease at 3PM tomorrow.”
‘Kaantha’, directed and written by Selvamani Selvaraj, is a biopic based on the life of M.K. Thyagaraja Bhagavathar, widely considered the first superstar of Tamil cinema.
Dulquer Salmaan will portray the legendary singer-actor, capturing his extraordinary journey in 1950s Madras.
The film is jointly produced by Spirit Media (Rana Daggubati) and Dulquer’s own Wayfarer Films, marking Wayfarer Films’ first non-Malayalam production.
The teaser, which has reportedly completed censor formalities with a runtime of 2 minutes and 14 seconds, is expected to offer the first substantial glimpse into the film’s visual grandeur and narrative depth.
Alongside Dulquer, the film also features Samuthirakani and Bhagyashri Borse in key roles.
