It was recently announced that the first look poster of Ajith’s ‘Valimai’ will be released on 1 May, which is the birthday of the actor.
However, the movie’s producer Boney Kapoor has now said that the release of the first look has been postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic.
A statement released by Boney Kapoor said,”At the time of making the announcement (of the first look release), none of us had even anticipated that the 2nd wave of coronavirus would spread across India like a tsunami.
At this moment, lakhs of Indians are affected by financial hardship and emotional trauma due to loss of family members and friends. At this critical juncture, Zee Studios and Bayview Projects along with the Artists’ and Technicians of our film Valimai have decided to postpone the first look release of our film to a later date.”
Ajith had even completed the dubbing for the movie. It is said that only an action sequence has to be shot.
‘Valimai’ is directed by H Vinoth. Ajith plays a cop in the flick. Huma Qureshi, Kartikeya, Raj Ayyapa, Achyuth Kumar, and Sumithra are also playing pivotal characters in the film. Nirav Shah cranks the camera for the project.Yuvan Shankar Raja is the music composer of the film.
