Samuthirakani, an honest officer at the Registrar’s Office, immensely loves his son Dhanraj and wants to see his son succeed in life.
However, Dhanraj lacks focus on studies and wastes his time without a proper job.
Dhanraj borrows money from his father to start a business but loses it all in betting.
This creates a huge conflict between Samuthirakani and Dhanraj, and the son plans to kill his father with the help of a truck driver.
What prompts Dhanraj to take such a drastic step? Will the truck driver kill Samuthirakani forms the core plot of the movie.
Dhanraj has done a decent job as a director on his debut, portraying the father-son bond in a slightly different way from other films.
‘Ramam Raghavam’ is an emotional drama that engages the audience to an extent. Dhanraj’s attempt to portray the father-son bond in a novel manner is praiseworthy.
The emotions in the movie will strike a chord with the audience. The father-son scenes are easy to relate to.
Samuthirakani comes up with a remarkable performance in a role that perfectly suits him.
Dhanraj, too, impresses as the irresponsible son. Rest of the characters are functional in taking the movie forward.
Durga Prasad Kolli’s realistic cinematography is commendable. While the songs and BGM composed by Arun Chiluveru does the job well.
