Kodai

 – Review

Hero of the story Karthick Singa, who is working in a hostel in Kodaikanal, often helps the ashram where he grew up.
Since the ashram needs money, the heroine’s father gives the hero Rs 5 lakh and asks him to give it to a financier in Kodaikanal and get Rs 25 lakh from him.
The protagonist also gives money to the financier in Kodaikanal, but the financier cheats the protagonist. Did the hero get the money back? How they met the ashram’s financial needs forms the rest of the story.
Directed by Raajaselvam, the movie is said to be based on real life incidents.
Raajaselvam has tried to stay as original as possible.
Karthick Singa has done a decent job as the protagonist who is caught in a difficult situation.
He is ably supported by Anaya Lakshmi, Robo Shankar, M S Bhaskar and Marimuthu.
The actors have delivered some realistic performances which is one of the major strengths of the movie.
Subash Kavi’s music gels well with the film. Arjunan Karthick’s camerawork is impressive.

Rating: 3.4/5
