A jewellery store loses Rs. 200 crore in a significant gold heist. The police suspect the notorious thief Japan (Karthi). The Home Minister (KS Ravi Kumar) urges a swift resolution. When the police corner Japan, he insists he didn’t commit the crime.
The main movie unravels the mystery, revealing the real culprit and unfolding Japan’s next moves. Director Rajumurugan has developed a concise screenplay which has worked in favour of the film.
However, the director could have made the movie a little more interesting with an engaging cat-and-mouse game. The movie begins well, but loses steam mid-way.
Karthi excels in portraying the role of a notorious thief. His character is well-crafted with wit, and his perpetually chill demeanor and humorous dialogues elicit decent laughs, even in serious situations.
Anu Emmanuel adds little value to the film. Vijay Milton delivers a commendable performance. Sunil also performs adequately and rest of the cast including KS Ravikumar have done their part well.
The music composed by GV Prakash Kumar. Cinematography by Ravi Varman is good. Rest of the technical aspects are passable.
