Rashmika Mandanna appears in a dramatically different avatar in the teaser of ‘Mysaa’, an action thriller that places her at the centre of a rugged and physically demanding world.
The teaser presents Rashmika as a Gond woman who is far removed from the conventional roles audiences have associated with her. She is seen engaging in hand-to-hand combat, moving through muddy terrain, battling opponents and navigating dangerous surroundings.
The footage also features an intense underwater sequence. Rashmika’s character is shown holding her breath beneath the surface while confronting an enemy, with one particularly violent moment involving a weapon.
Rather than relying solely on conventional action imagery, the teaser appears to emphasise the character’s toughness and determination. Her performance combines physical intensity with a restrained emotional quality.
The makers had earlier promised that the film would showcase Rashmika in an entirely new avatar, and the teaser offers the first substantial glimpse of that transformation.
One of the lines featured in the teaser describes her character as a weapon capable of determining the course of a war, hinting at the central role she plays in the narrative.
‘Mysaa’ is set within the cultural backdrop of the Gond tribal community, with Rashmika portraying a woman from the community. The makers have described the film as an emotional action thriller built around a protagonist defined by courage and resilience.
The project marks the directorial debut of Rawindra Pulle, who has co-written the screenplay with Rajkumar Kandamudi.
The supporting cast includes Eshwari Rao, Rahul Ravindran, Samuthirakani, Rao Ramesh, Shiva Kandukuri, Karthik Ranjini, Tarak Ponnappa and Nidhi Singh.
