Director Gunasekhar has unveiled the trailer for his latest film, ‘Euphoria’, and it is already sparking intense conversation.
Departing from his typical mythological epics like Shaakuntalam, Gunasekhar delivers a gritty, contemporary story centered on the darker side of youth culture and the drug epidemic in urban India.
The trailer features a haunting performance by Sara Arjun as a student whose life spirals out of control, alongside Bhumika Chawla as a mother battling the same crisis from a different perspective.
The film is set to hit the big screens on February 6, 2026, and is being touted as a “realistic wake-up call” that focuses on the POCSO Act and the rising crime rates in Hyderabad.
Gunasekhar has opted for a grounded narrative with minimal VFX, emphasizing raw emotions and social commentary over grand spectacles.
