Suriya’s upcoming film ‘Vishwanath & Sons’ is likely to have its audio launch on August 2 at Chennai’s Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, with the makers reportedly gearing up for a grand promotional event ahead of the film’s theatrical release.
Directed by Venky Atluri, the film marks Suriya’s 46th outing as a lead actor and is scheduled to hit theatres on August 14. It is produced by Suryadevara Naga Vamsi and Sai Soujanya under the banners of Sithara Entertainments and Fortune Four Cinemas.
Mamitha Baiju plays the female lead, while Radikaa Sarathkumar, Raveena Tandon, Bhavani Sre and Yogi Babu appear in key supporting roles.
The promotional campaign has gathered momentum with the release of ‘The Wedding Song’, sung by Suriya and written by Ken Karunas. The track followed the earlier single ‘Pattampoochi’, which received a positive response from music lovers.
The film is said to revolve around an unconventional romance between a middle-aged man and a younger woman. GV Prakash Kumar has composed the music, while Nimish Ravi has handled cinematography and Navin Nooli has taken care of editing.
Industry reports suggest the film has generated pre-release business exceeding ₹300 crore, driven by the success of Suriya’s previous release ‘Karuppu’ and director Venky Atluri’s recent box office performers.
