Suriya’s ‘Karuppu’ celebrates 100 days of theatrical run, team thanks fans

Suriya-starrer ‘Karuppu’ has reached the 100-day milestone in theatres, marking another major achievement for the film and its makers.

The film’s production house, Dream Warrior Pictures, and director-actor RJ Balaji used the occasion to thank audiences for their support. The makers credited viewers for keeping the film’s theatrical journey going from its opening day through the 100-day mark.

Balaji also celebrated the response to the film, highlighting its reach across different age groups and communities. He described the theatrical journey as a major achievement and expressed gratitude to audiences for embracing the film.

Suriya, meanwhile, thanked fans and viewers for supporting and celebrating ‘Karuppu’. He said the film’s success was ultimately the result of the audience’s response.

The film’s reported worldwide theatrical earnings have crossed the Rs 300-crore mark, making it the biggest theatrical success of Suriya’s career so far.

At the same time, Suriya’s latest release, ‘Vishwanath and Sons’, is continuing its run at the box office. The film has reportedly crossed Rs 160 crore in worldwide theatrical collections, while its India net collection was around Rs 1.19 crore on its tenth day, according to figures cited from Sacnilk.

‘Vishwanath and Sons’ had also crossed the Rs 110-crore worldwide mark within its first three days, giving Suriya two strong theatrical performers in succession.
