‘Vaadivaasal’, the period action film helmed by Vetrimaaran, was announced a couple of years ago.
Suriya was roped in to play the lead role in the highly anticipated project.
The National Award-winning actor even underwent Jallikattu training for the film, which is expected to feature him in a double role.
However, the rumour mills now suggest that actor-comedian Soori might replace Suriya in ‘Vaadivaasal’.
The multiple delays of the project and other work commitments of both the leading man and director, Vetrimaaran, have reportedly resulted in a major change in the film’s star cast.
However, both Suriya and Vetrimaaran have not reacted to the rumours yet.
