Silambarasan aka STR has offered fans a glimpse into the demanding production schedule of Arasan, the upcoming film directed by Vetri Maaran. In a social media update, the actor revealed that the team has been engaged in continuous night shoots for more than two months, joking that the schedule had disrupted his natural sleep cycle.
The update suggests that a significant portion of the film unfolds after dark, which aligns with visuals seen in the project’s earlier promotional material.
Set within the broader world established by ‘Vada Chennai’, ‘Arasan’ features Vijay Sethupathi as a police officer, while Andrea Jeremiah and Samuthirakani return as familiar characters from the earlier film. Yogalakshmi, Kishore, Yogi Babu and Jibin Gopinath are also part of the ensemble cast.
Although connected to the ‘Vada Chennai’ universe, the story reportedly focuses on a different set of characters and events. Produced by Kalaipuli S Thanu, the film is aiming for a Deepavali theatrical release and will feature music by Anirudh Ravichander.
