The makers of the acclaimed, slice-of-life Tamil drama ‘Carmeni Selvam’ have officially finalised its digital coordinates.
Following its initial theatrical run that commenced on April 3, 2026, the emotional family entertainer is scheduled to make its exclusive global streaming debut this coming Wednesday, June 3, 2026, on Amazon Prime Video.
Written and directed by Ram Chakri, the narrative follows Selvam (played by a grounded P. Samuthirakani), a simple and honest chauffeur working for a wealthy businessman named Sampath (Gautham Vasudev Menon).
The core plot explores how social and financial pressures slowly push Selvam’s content family into a dangerous cycle of credit and mounting debt, drawing strong critical praise for its sensitive, realistic portrayal of everyday societal anxieties.
