Rudhran

– Review

Raghava Lawrence leads a happy life with his parents, Nassar and Poornima Bhagyaraj.
He falls in love with Priya Bhavani Shankar, and they get married.
However, Raghava’s family faces financial problems, and he leaves for London to sort out the issues.
During his absence, his mother passes away, and Priya goes missing. Devastated, Raghava returns home to find out what happened to them.
How is Sarathkumar related to the story? What does Raghava do next forms the rest of the story.
Director Kathiresan has delivered a mass action drama that has all the elements for a commercial movie.
The second half is a big plus for the film as it is filled with emotions and action scenes that make the general audience feel good.
Lawrence looks good in the role of Rudhran, and his typical comedy timing, dance moves and viciousness during the action scenes are enjoyable to watch on the big screen.
Priya Bhavani Shankar appears for a short time on screen. Her scenes with Raghava Lawrence are lovely to watch, and she does a good job. Sarathkumar is menacing as the antagonist.
Rest of the cast including Nassar and Poornima Bhagyaraj have performed well.
GV Prakash has given a terrific background score, especially in the climax portions. RD Rajasekhar’s camerawork is impressive.
Rating: 3.5/5
