A surprise announcement was made on Thursday, revealing that the title of Superstar Rajinikanth’s ‘Thalaivar 171’ will be unveiled on April 22.
Directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, the makers of the project also gave a pleasant surprise by dropping a poster of the film featuring the superstar.
The poster featured a notorious-looking Rajinikanth giving a sarcastic smile, as he is shown wearing handcuffs made of golden watches. The poster has made scores of fans happy as they eagerly wait for the title reveal.
It is also to be noted that in an earlier in an interview, director Lokesh Kanagaraj had hinted that he always enjoyed the superstar’s negative roles, which he played during the initial days of his acting career.
Written and directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, the film is backed by Sun Pictures and has music by Anirudh Ravichander.
The film’s stunts will be handled by AnbAriv duo.
Meanwhile, Rajinikanth is currently shooting his 170th film, Vettaiyan with TJ Gnanavel. The film will feature the actor as a cop.
