Producer Naga Vamsi has shared his confidence in Suriya’s upcoming film ‘Vishwanath and Sons’, describing it as a complete family entertainer with strong commercial potential.
During a recent interaction, the producer revealed that he had watched the finished film and believes it has all the ingredients to connect with audiences. He also said his confidence in the project increased following the success of Suriya’s recent release, ‘Karuppu’.
Directed by Venky Atluri, the film follows Sanjay Vishwanath, an accomplished pistol shooter in his forties. The narrative centres on his life after a young woman named Maddy develops feelings for him despite their age difference, leading to an emotional family drama.
The cast includes Suriya, Mamitha Baiju, Radhika Sarathkumar, Raveena Tandon, Nassar, Sudha, Raghu Babu, Sunil Reddy, Bhavani Sre, Viva Harsha, Kaali Venkat, George Maryan, Hyper Aadhi, Srija Ravi, Sarvadaman Banerjee, Mathew Varghese, Kalyani Natarajan, Karate Karthik and Master Charvik.
The film is jointly produced by Sithara Entertainments and Fortune Four Cinemas, with Srikara Studios presenting the project. G. V. Prakash Kumar has composed the music, Nimish Ravi has handled cinematography, and Navin Nooli is the editor.
‘Vishwanath and Sons’ is scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on August 14. Following ‘Karuppu’, it is among the most anticipated titles in Suriya’s upcoming lineup, which also includes projects directed by Jithu Madhavan and T.J. Gnanavel.
