Anjali has shared an amusing memory from her school days, recalling how an unusual attempt to discourage a persistent admirer produced an unexpected response.
While promoting her upcoming film ‘Magutam’ (‘Magudam’ in Tamil), the actress spoke about receiving love proposals during her school years. She remembered one classmate who continued expressing his feelings for her for several years despite repeated rejection.
Anjali said the boy once challenged her to tie him a rakhi if she truly wanted him to stop pursuing her. Believing the symbolic gesture would settle the matter once and for all, she accepted the challenge without hesitation.
To her surprise, the plan did not work as expected. According to Anjali, the classmate immediately removed the rakhi, jokingly insisting that the ritual did not change his feelings before walking away.
The actor recalled the episode with laughter, saying it remains one of the funniest memories from her school life. She added that she never met the classmate again after the incident, but the story continues to make her smile years later.
