Airport plays a major role when it comes to Kollywood’s love story. Good Night:
Directed by Vinayak Chandrasekaran, the movie has K Manikandan and Meetha Raghunath in the lead roles. The film is about a person’s snoring problems and the major difficulties that he faces in his marriage and work life. At that point, Manikandan and Meetha decided to part ways. Meetha receives a job offer in Dubai and considers taking it due to their strained relationship. However, they reconcile in the end after a comical encounter, and the movie concludes with Meetha getting used to Mani’s snoring and embracing her life with him.
Raja Rani:
Arya and Nayanthara agree to marry each other for the sake of their parents. After the marriage, they live together as strangers in their apartment, where the neighbours are upset with Arya who comes home drunk every night, which he does deliberately to annoy Nayanthara, who later applies for a transfer to Australia. Nayanthara and Arya gets to know each other’s past and fall in love. However, Nayanthara’s request for transfter gets approved. Arya drops Nayanthara at the airport, due to a certain turn around of events, Nayanthara cancels her foreign trip and lives with Arya.
Ghilli:
Vijay is a state-level Kabaddi player who is sent to his relative’s wedding in Trichy by his parents. But, he skips the wedding to go and play in a kabaddi match in Madurai, unknown to his parents. There he happens to rescue Trisha from Prakash Raj and take her to his house in Chennai. While Prakash Raj and the cops are on the hunt for Trisha and Vijay, he, along with his friends, get her to the Chennai International Airport in time for her flight to the U.S. But during his match against Punjab, Vijay starts missing Trisha. Only to find Trisha cheering for him from the stands of the stadium. The duo finally unite after Vijay defeats Prakash Raj in a one-to-one fight.
Thiruchitrambalam:
Dhanush is a delivery agent, in a food delivery company who lives with his strict father Inspector Prakash Raj and paternal grandfather whose name is also Bharathiraja. As Dhanush navigates through his life, he ends up falling for his childhood crush Raashi Khanna. He seeks help from hsi childhood friend Nithya Menen and she gives ideas to propose his love to Raashi Khanna. On a date, Dhanush confesses his feelings to her, but she rejects and apologises to him for flirting and leading him to think that she has a romantic interest in him. Meanwhile, after a few days, Dhanush finds out that Nithya Menen was in love with him. But when he proposed to her, she rejected him and left for Canada. One month passes by and Dhanush calls Nithya Menen, where she tells him that she hates Canada and wants to return back to India only to find that Dhanush was already there in Canada to take her back home. They return to India and finally get married.
Minnale:
Madhavan falls in love with Reema Sena at first sight. However, he comes to know that she is already engaged to an Indian American software engineer. However, Madhavan comes to her house impersonating the software engineer. When Reena realises that Madhavan is an impostor, she breaks up with him and warns him never to come near her again. Realising that what he was all wrong, Madhavan accepts an on-site opportunity in Singapore which he had earlier rejected. However, Reema realises that she is in love with Madhavan and reaches the airport ontime to stop him from leaving for Singapore. They both finally get married.
