Kangana Ranaut receives surprise guest on ‘Thalaivi’ sets

Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut, who is playing former Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa in biopic ‘Thalaivi’ directed by Vijay, was shooting for a Bharathanatyan sequence in Chennai, when she received a surprise guest.

It was none other than Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari, who directed the actress in her latest release, Panga. The filmmaker took to her Instagram to share her pictures with Kangana from the sets of ‘Thalaivi’.

Ashwiny posted, “Because this hardworking talented human of mine needed to be hugged for #Panga 💚 So a surprise visit to Chennai. Jaya / Thalaivi in animated conversation with her dost to be continued.”

Kangana Ranaut was among the film personalities who were conferred with Padma Shri honour for their outstanding contribution in the field of performing arts.

Kangana, who was in Chennai shooting for ‘Thalaivi’ when the announcement was made, shared a video thanking the government for the honour. She said, “I am very thankful to the Indian government who have conferred me with the Padma Shri, to the friends who are congratulating and wishing me, and to all my admirers who have always supported me. Their support has helped me reach this point.”
