Popular cinematographer Shyam K Naidu was arrested based on a complaint by actress Sai Sudha, who filed a complaint against him at SR Nagar Police Station, alleging that he promised to marry her and duped her later.
‘Arjun Reddy’ fame Sudha alleged in her complaint Shyam K Naidu had promised to marry her before they entered into a relationship, but changed his mind later.
Thirupathanna, ACP, Punjagutta, said, “On Wednesday morning, a film artiste registered a complaint with us against cinematographer Shyam K Naidu. She alleged that Shyam had exploited her with the promise of marriage but is now refusing to do so. After registering the complaint, we called in Shyam for questioning. We’re currently investigating further.”
While Sai Sudha aka Sri Sai Sudha acted as Vijay Devarakonda’s girlfriend in ‘Arjun Reddy’ and was also part of other movies, Shyam K Naidu, the younger brother of veteran cinematographer Chota K Naidu, is a close friend of director Puri Jagannadh.
Last year, Naidu appeared before the Telangana excise department’s SIT for questioning in connection with a probe into the drug trade racket busted in Hyderabad. He was one among the several celebrities whose names were linkedto the racket.
