Chiranjeevi, the Megastar of Telugu cinema, is lately active on social media. To mark Hanuman Jayanthi, he shared an old picture of his, and went down the memory lane.
“In 1962, I won a picture of Lord Hanuman in a lottery. When my dad saw that, he said my eyes and nose resemble Hanuman’s. So I always saved that picture with me. Decades later in 2002, artist Bapu gifted me a painting of Lord Hanuman which I later got replicated on a marble stone and got it placed in my prayer hall,” he said.
He added: “Bapu garu also told me that he felt like he was drawing me when painting the Lord Hanuman he gifted me. I felt blessed and still wonder about the resemblance. I wish everyone a Happy Hanuman Jayanti.”
In another post, Chiranjeevi greeted his brother Pawan Kalyan’s son Akira Nandan on his birthday. Sharing a picture of him with little Akira, he said, “మన బిడ్డ మనకంటే ఎత్తుకు ఎదగాలని కోరుకుంటాం. నా చేతిలో ఒదిగిపోయిన ఈ బిడ్డ, ఎత్తులో అందరికంటే ఎదిగిపోయాడు.(6’4”) అన్ని విషయాల్లో కూడా అందరిని ఇలానే మించిపోవాలి.Wish you a “Power”ful future. Happy Birthday Akira.”
