Director Ashwath Marimuthu says working with Superstar Rajinikanth on ‘Dharman’ is a milestone in his filmmaking journey, but one that comes with enormous responsibility. In a recent interaction, he admitted that the magnitude of the project can feel overwhelming at times.
According to Ashwath, he has chosen to concentrate on the creative process instead of dwelling on the expectations surrounding the film. He also shared that collaborating with Rajinikanth has been a smooth and enjoyable experience, describing the superstar as easy to work with.
The director expressed confidence that ‘Dharman’ will blend Rajinikanth’s signature mass appeal with his own storytelling sensibilities.
The film is backed by Kamal Haasan’s production banner Raaj Kamal International and features Simran and Raashii Khanna in key roles, with music composed by Anirudh Ravichander. Production is currently underway, and the film is slated for release in 2027.
