It looks like the Covid-19 pandemic has entered Kollywood circles too. Tamil film producer and distributor Dhananjayan Govind’s elder brother, who was recently tested positive for coronavirus, has breathed his last.
“Coronavirus took away my dear elder brother. He was healthy, all of 59 & passed away in just 5 days of infection,” posted Dhananjayan, who also runs a film institute named BOFTA.
Dhananjayan added: “His family (wife & son) are tested +Ve & under treatment. While many are coming out of it, few losing their lives. We are in a state of shock. Be safe friends.”
In a bid to spread awareness on Covid-19, Dhananjayan said further; “This tweet was posted to make you aware of the deadly pandemic & wishing you all a safe life. We are doing our best to protect my brother’s family who’re tested +Ve. Please pray for their speedy recovery. Take care of yourself & your family friends. Just don’t step out for now.
Many film personalities have extended their condolences. Rahul Ravindran posted: “So sorry for your loss sir.” Shanthnu wrote: “Condolences to you and your family sir.” R Parthiban posted: “Rip”. Divyadarshini aka DD wrote: “Condolences sir vry sorry.”
