Review
‘Master’ is the story of the clash between an alcoholic professor JD (Vijay) who is appointed to a college for juvenile criminals and Bhavani (Vijay Sethupathi), who uses the youth for his nefarious activities.
How they encounter and tackle each other forms the crux of Master. The applause which Vijay receives during the introduction scene continues till the climax.
The actor has sizzled in the character. When it comes to Vijay movies it is usually the ‘Thalapathi’ who is always in the spotlight.
With an ensemble of star cast, director Lokesh Kanagaraj has tried to give importance to every character which drags the first portion of the first half.
However, the movie picks pace gradually. Technically the film is very strong. Special mention has to be made about the stunt choreography by D Silva.
The climax battle between Vijay and Vijay Sethupathi is sure to entertain the fans. Cinematography by Sathyan Sooriyan is top class.
Though the second half could have been trimmed a bit, the movie is sure to be celebrated by the fans.
