Amala Paul, after rocking Kollywood, Tollywood and Mollywood, is all set to step into Bollywood. She will be seen in Mahesh Bhatt’s upcoming web series, besides a Hindi film.
On the web series, the ace filmmaker said, “A fresh start. A new beginning in the digital world. Wanting to create something extraordinary, our first web show, a dramatic love story goes on floors with these wonderful actors Amala, Tahir, and Amrita and our talented director Pushpdeep Bhardwaj, along with our partner Jio Studios.”
Amala Paul was in the news recently after producer-actor A L Alagappan made a shocking revelation about the divorce of his son and director Vijay with the actress.
In an interview, he said Amala Paul took the decision of staying away from films after marriage. “However, Dhanush offered her the lead role in his production venture, ‘Amma Kanakku’ and the actress agreed to star in it,” he said.
He said this is one of the reasons behind Vijay and Amala Paul’s divorce. It may be recalled that VIjay, announcing his separation with Amala, said in a statement then: “When Amala wanted to continue her career in films, I supported her. I was never a hindrance. The accusations that I or my family were stopping her from work are completely untrue.
The base for any marital relationship is honesty and trust when that is breached the existence of committed relationship becomes pointless. I really value the institution of marriage and relationship a lot.”
