Actor Ram Charan and filmmaker Sukumar have officially begun their next collaboration with a traditional pooja ceremony held on Sunday.
The project, tentatively titled ‘RC17’, marks Ram Charan’s 17th film as a lead actor and brings the successful duo together once again after their acclaimed 2018 film ‘Rangasthalam’.
Megastar Chiranjeevi attended the launch as a special guest and performed the ceremonial first clap, marking the beginning of the production.
The film is being produced by Sukumar under Sukumar Writings, alongside Naveen Yerneni of Mythri Movie Makers and Bhushan Kumar of T-Series.
The reunion has generated considerable excitement among fans, given the impact of ‘Rangasthalam’, in which Ram Charan portrayed a hearing-impaired villager who challenges corruption and injustice in his community.
The film received widespread acclaim and won the National Film Award for Best Sound Design. Ram Charan was recently seen in ‘Peddi’, directed by Buchi Babu Sana and presented by Sukumar. The film also features Shivarajkumar, Janhvi Kapoor, Jagapathi Babu and Divyenndu.
With the actor and director joining forces again, expectations are high for their upcoming project. Further details about the film’s storyline, cast and release schedule are awaited.
