Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna visit Telangana village to advance student support programme

Actors Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna have taken another step in their education-focused initiative aimed at helping students in government schools across Telangana.

Vijay announced on social media that he was travelling to Thummanpet, his father’s native village, along with Rashmika to carry forward a promise they made earlier this year. The programme is designed to acknowledge and motivate students studying in Classes 9 and 10 in the Achampet Mandal region.

He wrote: “We are on our way to Thummanpet. The little village where my Father was born.  In February – @iamRashmika and I had announced the beginning of a little dream of ours.  To reward all the hardworking students of 9th and 10th grade from Achampet Mandal of Telangana.”

Rashmika later shared Vijay’s update on her social media account, expressing her support with heart emojis. The educational initiative was unveiled after the couple’s wedding in Udaipur earlier this year. Through the Deverakonda Foundation, they committed to supporting students from 44 government schools located in and around Thummanpet.
